Alpacsas at the Hunter Library

Alpacas are herd animals. A person must have at least two of these
animals or else they will get ulcers from worry.
Their fur can be woven into soft blankets and clothing that is not itchy.

The children got to feel their "wool".

Alpacas( in the llama family) are shy and gentle.

They eat only grass (fresh and dried) and water.
Their bones have been found in Florida so they originated
in the States. Then they were brought to South America and now are being
reintroduced back to the States.

Children participated in the Puppet Show
Murray Park had a puppet show

All the children had a chance to try a musical instrument

Summerhays Music had a "Petting Zoo" of their musical instruments
at the Gallivan Center Carnival
